Make your FAQs searchable and smart
VectorFAQ puts a question box on your website. Customers can ask questions in their own words, and will receive the correct answer based on the meaning of the question. Every reply comes from answers you have approved. If there's no good match, VectorFAQ allows you to escalate to support in multiple ways.
Meaning, not keywords
A normal FAQ page only helps if the customer finds the exact question you wrote. VectorFAQ understands what a question means, so it recognizes the same question no matter how it's phrased, misspelled, or worded in a way you never thought of. You keep one clear answer and it covers all of them.

What is your return policy?
Unworn items can be returned within 60 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange. Start a return from your order page or reply to your confirmation email.
Customers asked
The customer gets it word-for-word. Nothing is rewritten or improvised.
VectorFAQ reads the web pages and files you added and builds a reply from what it finds there, and only there.
It says so and passes the customer to your email, phone, or support form.
How it works
Type in the questions customers ask most, upload a spreadsheet, or point VectorFAQ at your website and help documents. It reads them for you.
Paste one line onto any page, or share a link to a hosted question page. No developer needed for the link.
It uses your exact wording. If it isn't confident, it sends the customer to you instead of making something up.
Who it's for: any business that answers the same questions over and over by email or phone. Shops, clinics, schools, software companies, property managers, and support teams.
Why not just a chatbot?
AI chatbots compose replies on the fly. They have promised refunds, fares, and discounts that never existed, and courts have made companies honor them. VectorFAQ can't do that. It only serves answers you approved, or replies built strictly from your own pages and documents. When it isn't sure, it hands the customer to a person instead of guessing. Same question, same answer, every time.
| Criteria | Generic chatbot | VectorFAQ |
|---|---|---|
| Where answers come from | The model's best guess, from anything it has read | Only your approved Q&A, web pages, and files |
| When there's no good answer | It answers anyway | Hands the customer to your email, phone, or helpdesk. Never a guess. |
| Data security | Your content and customer questions may train third-party models | Never used to train models; encrypted in transit and at rest |
| Sensitive topics | Hard to fence off reliably | Off-limits topics enforced by rule |
| Accountability | Little audit trail of what it said | Every session logged: answered, unanswered, or handed off |
| Criteria | Live chat | VectorFAQ |
|---|---|---|
| Speed | Queues and staffed hours | Instant, 24/7 |
| Data security | Customer details pass through every agent and a chat vendor | Encrypted and scoped per question box. No agent ever sees the conversation. |
| Consistency | Varies agent to agent | The same approved answer, every time |
| Cost as volume grows | Scales with headcount | Flat plans by question volume |
| Best at | Complex, one-off issues | The routine majority, handing the rest into your chat |
Live chat still has its place. That's why VectorFAQ can hand a customer straight into yours. More on how we protect your data on the Security section.
Beyond question-and-answer pairs
Q&A pairs are the starting point, not the limit. Hand VectorFAQ your website, your PDFs, and your policy documents too. It reads all of it, so when a customer asks something you never wrote a question for, it can still answer from your own material, and only your material.
Start with what customers already ask. Type them in one at a time, or upload a spreadsheet of questions and answers.
Give it your address and it reads your product, policy, and help pages, and keeps them fresh when you rescan.
Upload manuals, price sheets, and policies so detailed questions get answered from the source.
VectorFAQ notices what customers ask that you haven't answered yet, and lists it for you to approve.
Name the subjects it should never answer, like legal or medical advice, and where to send those customers instead.
Star your favorites
Most help pages bury the six questions everyone asks under sixty that nobody does. Star your favorites and VectorFAQ shows that short list first, right in the question box. Everything else is still there, one question away.
